Hooman Beheshti – Fastly
Presenting The impact of performance on conversions/adoption
Hooman Beheshti is VP of Technology at Fastly, where he develops web performance services for the world’s smartest CDN platform. A pioneer in the application acceleration space, Hooman helped design one of the original load balancers while at Radware and has held senior technology positions with Strangeloop Networks and Crescendo Networks. He has worked on the core technologies that make the Internet work faster for nearly 20 years and is an expert and frequent speaker on the subjects of load balancing, application performance, and content delivery networks.

Jeremy Edberg – Netflix
Presenting IaaS versus PaaS
Jeremy is currently the Data Wrangler for Netflix, the largest video streaming service in the world. Previously he managed operations for reddit, an Alexa top 100 site. He was there for 4 years while the site grew 13X in traffic. Jeremy was responsible for reddit’s Amazon EC2-based platform that handled over 17 million unique visitors a month and over a billion page views. Both run their entire operations on Amazon’s EC2. Jeremy has also worked as a Systems Administrator, Programmer, and Security Engineer for eBay, PayPal, and Sendmail and UC Berkeley. He holds a Cognitive Science degree from UC Berkeley.

Alistair Croll is an entrepreneur, analyst, and author. He has founded several companies in the area of network infrastructure, performance management, and web technology, and chairs a number of the tech industry’s largest events on cloud computing, Big Data, and entrepreneurship including Cloud Connect, Strata, Interop, and the International Startup Festival. He is also the creator of the bitnorth conference series. Alistair is the author of three books on performance, operations, and analytics, and is currently working on Lean Analytics, part of the Lean series from O’Reilly Media, which shows startups how to use data to build better startups faster. In 2010, he co-founded Year One Labs, an early stage startup accelerator, and he is an angel investor and hands-on advisor to numerous startups and investor organizations. Most of what Alistair says, passed through notoriously poor filters, can be found on Twitter or his blog, Solve For Interesting.
Marc Pare – CloudOps

Marc has 14 years of experience in the area of information technology. He has a background in sales, web operations and product management with a proven track record of success. Prior to joining CloudOps in 2012, he held the position of Field Sales Manager representing the Cloud Networking solutions at Citrix. Prior to joining Citrix, Marc had various business and technical roles over a 10-year career at Coradiant. Marc has a bachelor’s degree in MIS from Concordia University.
Ian Rae – CloudOps

Ian is the founder of CloudOps, a cloud engineering and operations firm that combines private cloud building and managed services with public cloud deployment and operations to offer a hybrid cloud solution featuring the best of both worlds.
Ian is also a partner at Year One Labs, a lean startup incubator and is the cofounder of the RPM startup centre (rpm.startupcentre.ca) in Montreal. Prior to the emergence of clouds, Ian founded Syntenic, a web operations company, and was responsible for Engineering at Coradiant and IT at Canderel Management.
